What is a good way to paint my Harley Davidson handlebars?
I have a set of chrome drag bars that i'm putting on my Harley but it is all orange and black. I was wanting to know the best way to paint without it cracking or looking bad. and also will this work for the other chrome parts on it.
**THERE IS NO POWDER COATER NEAR ME so this is not really an option.
Best would be to replace with pre-painted bars.
Chrome does not paint well at all.
One thing about paint: the color of the undercoat (primer, etc.) greatly affects the final color and look.
I HAVE painted chrome, and it looked good. Using metalflake lacquer and clear coat. Dark blue became lighter, and red became almost pink. (woman's bike)
